Three years after deciding the University of Oklahoma was the ideal place to play college basketball, Kyle Hardrick is officially a Sooner. The Putnam City High School forward signed with OU on Wednesday morning after verbally committing to the Sooners in May of 2006.

The 6-8, 233-pounder joins Houston Madison guard Tommy Mason-Griffin, Brewster Academy (N.H.) forward Andrew Fitzgerald, Atlantic Shores Christian (Va.) Academy guard Steven Pledger in OU’s 2009 class.

Hardrick is ranked No. 145 in the Rivals 150, the No. 35 power forward on ESPN.com and the No. 22 center on Scout.com. Hardrick is a good rebounder and passer who displays a nice shooting touch from 15 feet in.

Hardrick transferred to Putnam City last summer after playing two years at Norman High and one year at Lawton Eisenhower.
