EDMOND — Plans to build a restaurant just west of Spring Creek Village can proceed. Planning commissioners gave their approval Tuesday night.
Businessman Charles Ballenger got a unanimous nod to change his site plan for the property on the north side of 15th Street and west of Bryant Avenue.
The site plan, last revised May 20, was for an 8,000-square-foot building. Ballenger wanted to move the building north 20 feet to allow for more parking, said Randel Shadid, Ballenger’s attorney.
City Planner Bob Schiermeyer said moving the building would allow for at least 15 more parking spaces.
There is no change to the landscaping around the proposed 8,000-square-foot brick building. The structure will appear to be two stories, but is not a functional two-story building. This design is consistent with the territorial style of Spring Creek Village.
Ballenger will have to relocate a privately maintained storm sewer pipe leading to a detention area north of the building, Schiermeyer said.
