IN BRIEF POSSIBLE TORNADO HITS NEAR TULSA
Strong storms spawned a possible tornado near Tulsa and damaged homes and businesses in Tulsa and Wagoner counties early Tuesday.
National Weather Service investigators are examining damage east of Tulsa to determine whether a small tornado touched down, meteorologist Max Blood said.
Winds brought down power lines and left about 1,000 Public Service Co. of Oklahoma customers in the dark, including Liberty Elementary School in Broken Arrow.
The school canceled Tuesday’s classes.
