STILLWATER — Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy has added yet another junior-college player to the 2009 recruiting class, this time going west to get a commitment from Fullerton (Calif.) Community College wide receiver Dameron Fooks, according to multiple Internet reports.
A 6-foot-3, 210-pound native of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., Fooks played one season at Fullerton and will be classified as a sophomore this season at OSU.
Fooks is the third junior-college player to be added after the Feb. 4 signing day and the seventh in all.
A high school quarterback, Fooks is still learning the receiver position. He said he chose OSU over Arizona and plans to report to Stillwater in July.
“I’m in, I’m 100 percent in,” Fooks told OStateIllustrated.com. “The only other visit I’ve taken is Arizona.
“To make a long story short, they were just kind of showing me that Oklahoma State is where I need to be so I’m going full go 100 percent. I’m ready to be a Cowboy.”
