MIAMI – A Commerce man died after a motorcycle he was driving ran into the back of a truck Friday night.
John Curtis Desilva, 21, was driving west on an Ottawa County road near U.S. 69 A when the motorcycle ran into the back of a truck driven by Charles Prairie Chief, 39, of Miami at 11:10 p.m., Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. Desilva was flown to Saint John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. where he died from the injuries. Neither Prairie Chief nor a passenger in the truck was injured, troopers said. Desilva was not wearing a helmet, troopers said.
