A federal grand jury in Oklahoma City has indicted a prisoner at the federal prison in El Reno for threatening to kill the president.
According to the indictment handed down Wednesday, 53-year-old Archie Monroe Glass Jr. sent a letter on or about Aug. 10 making the threat. The letter was addressed to "Mr. President." The indictment notes that in the letter, Glass told the president he planned to shoot him in the head and would do the same thing to the winner of the November presidential election. The Federal Bureau of Prison's Web site notes that Glass is scheduled to be released from custody next June 24. El Reno is located about 30 miles west of Oklahoma City.
