Three people died in vehicle accidents on Oklahoma roads Thursday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Jason Beggs, 40, Simms, Texas
Beggs was driving south on U.S. 259 at 6 a.m. when his truck crossed the center lane and crashed into a tractor-trailer traveling north, according to a patrol report.
Beggs died at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Charles Hollis Jr., 53, of Avinger, Texas, was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, troopers said.
Andrew Charles Arnett, 19, Haleyville, Ala.
Christy Nicole Thatcher, 18, Farwell, Texas
Arnett and Thatcher were westbound on Interstate 40, two miles west of Hydro in Custer County, when Arnett lost control of the vehicle and it rolled 11/2 times about 4:05 p.m., according to a patrol report.
Thatcher died at the scene. Arnett was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital where he died Thursday night, the patrol said.
Only Arnett was wearing a seat belt.
