Police have released the names of two people who died in fatal automobile accidents over the weekend.
Clifford John Marshall, 26, of Norman
Marshall was driving north on NW 24 near the intersection of NW 24 and Tee Drive in Norman on Saturday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a curb, Norman police said.
Marshall was found in the middle of the street and taken to Norman Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Timothy Glen German, 22, of Oklahoma City
German died early Sunday in Oklahoma City when his car crashed into a tree and burst into flames, Oklahoma City police Master Sgt. Greg Giltner said.
Firefighters responding to a caller's report of a trash fire near NW 10 and N MacArthur Boulevard about 1 a.m. instead found a burning car, police and fire spokesmen said. The car had crashed into a tree in the 900 block of N Leroy Drive, and crews found German’s body inside.
Police Master Sgt. Greg Giltner said the cause of the crash and fire remained under investigation.
