BLACKWELL – A Louisiana man died in a Sunday morning accident in Kay County.

Dennis C. Murphy, 58, of Monroe, La., was driving a pickup north on Interstate 35 north of Blackwell at 7:55 a.m. when the pickup left the road on the right, returned across the road and hit a cable barrier and turned over, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said.

Murphy was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
