Edmond
• Mayor: Patrice Douglas, Daniel P. O’Neil
• Proposition 1: Would change city charter to delete requirement that people be a free holder in the city of Edmond to be candidates for office. The amendment also lowers the minimum age to run for mayor and council from 25 to 21.
• Proposition 2: Changes the office of city treasurer to an appointed office rather than an elected one.
• Proposition 3: Allows the city to determine the minimum purchase amount requiring competitive bidding, subject to state law.
• Proposition 4: Provides that all ordinances must be published in a newspaper that was published in the city of Edmond. Would change to newspaper with general circulation in Edmond.
• Proposition 5: Anybody who runs for office fills out campaign finance forms. Would give the city council the authority to pass an ordinance regarding campaign finance reports.
Chandler schools
• Proposition: $1 million for improvements to the high school football stadium, a new multipurpose building at Eastside Elementary School, a new practice facility for the high school wrestling team, resurfacing of the track and a new show barn for the district vocational-agriculture program.
