Oologah man who had pleaded guilty in investment scam dies

An Oologah man who was slated to be sentenced Wednesday in Connecticut for wire fraud and money laundering died Thursday from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

William Todd Bingham, who was accused of defrauded investors out of millions of dollars, was found with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle about 6 a.m. Wednesday, Officer Leland Ashley said.
