TULSA — Syntroleum Corp. on Thursday reported third quarter losses of $270,000, although shareholders did not lose any money.
The company made $838,000 in the same period of 2008, when shareholders earned 2 cents a share.
Syntroleum also reported the Dynamic Fuels plant, its joint venture with Tyson Foods, was 76 percent complete on Sept. 30. The Louisiana plant will convert animal waste into diesel fuel when it is finished.
MOORE — Vaughan Foods narrowed its third-quarter loss to $218,000, down from a $1.2 million net loss in the same period last year. Vaughan CEO Herb Grimes said he was “encouraged” by the improvement in earnings.
“We continue to experience a general stabilization of fuel and food costs and we have committed to bring even greater focus on the efficiency of our operations to improve our performance,” Grimes said.
