Three people died in weekend accidents on Oklahoma roads.

John Curtis Desilva,

21, Miami

About 11:10 p.m. Friday, Desilva was driving a motorcycle west on an Ottawa County road near U.S. 69 when he ran into the back of a truck driven by Charles Prairie Chief, 39, of Miami, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. Desilva was flown to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., where he died, the patrol said. Desilva was not wearing a helmet.

Roseanna Clara

Simmons, 19, Sulphur

Simmons was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Skyler Deanne Brown, 18, of Sulphur, the patrol said. About 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Brown ran off a county road east of Joy in Murray County and struck a culvert. The vehicle rolled and caught fire, troopers said. Simmons was thrown from the vehicle. Simmons was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

Unidentified man,

29, Tulsa

A Tulsa man was killed in a two-vehicle collision Saturday in the 3100 block of East 61st Street, authorities said. Police said the man was riding a motorcycle west on 61st when he crossed the center line shortly before noon and struck an eastbound vehicle. It appears the man, who borrowed the motorcycle from a friend for a test drive, was speeding and lost control, said Tulsa police Sgt. Rex Mann. Mann said Saturday police were withholding the victim’s identity until his family could be notified.
