A tornado touched down in Le Flore County about 7:35 p.m. about 15 miles southeast of Muse near the Arkansas state line, according to reports to the National Weather Service. Four people, including a woman with broken bones, were reported hurt in the Big Cedar community, but their injuries weren’t considered life-threatening, county dispatcher Marcy Gouker said. Spotters reported at least one residence damaged.
The first tornado was reported about 6:20 p.m. four miles east of Vinita in Craig County, according to reports to the weather service. Roofs were damaged on several homes and at least two power lines snapped near a transformer. Ten minutes later, a tornado touched down eight miles southeast of Wilburton in Latimer County, spotters said. Power lines were damaged.
About 6:35 p.m., a tornado was spotted near Miami in Ottawa County, the weather service reported.
In Pushmataha County, a tornado was spotted about 6:45 p.m. about seven miles northeast of Nashoba. It damaged trees and fences.
About 6:50 p.m., another tornado was reported in Latimer County, according to the weather service. The tornado spent about five minutes on the ground near U.S. 270 and State Highway 2.
