Oklahomans have lots of sex and eat lots of chocolate, but can do without champagne

Apparently Oklahoma is for lovers after all. Who’d have thunk it?

According to data compiled by MyFitnessPal (yeah, the fitness/exercise tracker folks), Oklahoma scored high on the romance scale.

MFP explained how they got their findings:

We took a look at the states where MyFitnessPal members logged the most champagne, chocolate and sex over the course of 2014, and then combined those measures into a single Romance Index to see which states really are for lovers.

Haha, excellent.

They then went on to create a nifty Romance Index map that breaks down states’ champagne and chocolate consumption, and how “busy” folks get under the covers (or wherever).


The quick and dirty of it: Oklahomans don’t drink a lot of champagne and we’re about average on chocolate consumption, but we do have lots of sex. Still, we didn’t crack the top 10 romantic states.
