Chilton Marshall and Brad Purcell were married at a family wedding recently at the Chapel of Saint Mary at All Souls Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City and the reception hosted by Chris and Gary Purcell and Jimmie Marshall was held at the Chesapeake Club at the Gaylord Family Stadium in Norman. The televsions throughout the Club featured informal photos of the couple and the stadium’s South End Scoreboard congratulated the bride and groom. Menu items featured all kinds of foods including traditional beef tenderloin table and a fajita bar, plus waffles and a baked mashed potato and sweet potato table with all the toppings that guests could think up.

The white wedding cake was made by Glenna Harris of Norman and the strawberry, chocolate and red velvet golf and book cakes were from Flying Cupcake Bakery.

A special gift to the bride and groom was a patchwork quilt made by the groom’s aunt, Cayla Tracy, Ada.

As the couple left the stadium, all the guests lighted long sparklers. The guests also took home party favors of personalized golf tees and book marks. A photo booth was set up and guests took pictures for themselves and the couple’s scrapbook. It was a festive occasion!

A congratulatory message and photo was on the JumboTron at the Gaylord Family Stadium. (Photos by Helen Ford Wallace).
