It's not too late to cast your vote for Reader's Choice 2015

There is still time.

You’ve had all week, but there’s still time.

The Oklahoman’s Reader’s Choice Top 5 section was released within The Oklahoman’s editions on Sunday.

Voting started online Sunday morning at Oklahoman.com/ReadersChoice. We’ve received thousands of online votes in each of the 12 categories – and that’s not counting the votes that have been sent in via the mailed ballots from Sunday’s section.

We’re counting the mail-in ballots, too. But I’m not kidding about the thousands of votes. It will take us some time.

Having worked in a newsroom for two decades now, I know a little about waiting until the last minute. That’s why we gave you more than a week to cast your votes.

Of the thousands of votes, the categories for Best Local have been the most popular. That’s where you can vote for the best church, the best divorce attorney, the best funeral home and the best tag agent.

But my favorite categories are in the Best Specialty Foods area, where you can vote for best barbecue, best food truck, best pizza and best sushi bar.

Only one in each category can be the Reader’s Choice. You have until midnight Monday to cast your votes.

You’ll find out those winners in our next section on July 26.
