Tulsa Fashion Week seeks models
Tulsa Fashion Week is seeking models for its September event.
The city’s final casting call will be from 1 to 4 p.m. July 18 at Saks Fifth Avenue at Utica Square. Miss Teen Oklahoma Cherokee Pearce will be there for a meet and greet.
There will also be a special casting for ages 5 to 12. A parent must be present.
An Oklahoma City casting call is planned Aug. 1 at a location to be announced.
Tulsa Fashion Week is looking for female models ages 16 to 25, height 5 feet, 8 inches and taller; editorial models, ages 16 to 25, height at least 5 feet, 5 inches; and male models, ages 16 to 28, height 5 feet, 11 inches and taller.
Models should bring a comp card, head shot or portfolio. Females should wear a form fitted shirt and leggings with heels. Selected models must be available for practice before Tulsa Fashion Week, scheduled Sept. 14-19.
For the casting call, models should come without makeup, hair pulled back and be ready to perform a stimulated runway walk. The team is looking for a slower, more fluid walk, strength, symmetry and confidence.
Men should wear a T-shirt and pants.
Selected models that meet requirements will be reviewed and selected for a call back. Models will be presented to designers for final selection.
Models will be required to attend fittings for each designer, rehearse several times and be early for main events. Selected models are responsible for their own travel, lodging and other expenses. Participating models will receive agency recognition, be featured on the Oklahoma Fashion Week-Tulsa Fashion Week look book and will be paid a set fee for each day they participate.
