Donate a handbag to help women in need
Here’s another good reason to clean out your closet.
Brighton is collecting gently used handbags to help women in need. The goal of the company’s latest charitable initiative, the Handbag Trade-in, is to collect 10,000 handbags to be donated to charities that empower women and their families.
“The simple gift of a handbag can do so much to lift a woman's spirits and it will also help her to look professional when she is interviewing for a much-needed job,” said Brighton’s owner and founder Jerry Kohl.
The initiative continues through July 26. And if you’re in the market for a new handbag, just bring in a gently used bag and receive $25 to $50 off a brand new Brighton bag. Any brand handbag can be donated.
A Brighton Collectibles store is in Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City. To find other participating stores, go to brighton.com.
