Step out of the shower, lightly towel dry and slather on lotion while skin is still damp.

That’s a part of many women’s daily routine.

Dermatologists and beauty experts tout the benefits of applying moisturizer or body lotion before completely drying off to lock in moisture. No special brand or formula needed. Or so we thought.

Now comes what Jergens Skincare touts as “possibly the brand’s most exciting breakthrough to date” – Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer.

The company says it glides onto wet skin and instantly absorbs for twice the moisture in half the time and takes advantage of when skin is most receptive to hydration. Instructions say after showering but before drying off, apply a dime-size amount of lotion to each arm and a quarter-size amount to each leg. Pat and go.

Wet Skin Moisturizer is available in three formulas: Nourishing Monoi Oil, a light gardenia, floral scent; Refreshing Coconut Oil, a beachy tropical fruit essence; and Calming Green Tea Oil, a botanical oil drawn from green tea leaves.

In conjunction with the launch, Jergens announced actress and comedienne Leslie Mann as its new brand ambassador. Both are part of Jergens You’re More than Just a Pretty Face campaign which reminds women to care for their skin.

The moisturizer costs $6.99 and is available at grocery and drug stores, as well as mass retailers.
