Pottery Barn debuts designer collaboration
Designer collaborations are common for department and clothing stores.
Now Pottery Barn is diving in with its first collaboration, a 60-piece collection by celebrated interior designer Ken Fulk.
The Ken Fulk for Pottery Barn collection includes furniture, table accessories, barware, rugs, lighting, wall art and decorative accessories with prices ranging from $6 to $10,000.
Fulk is a San Francisco-based designer who’s also a darling of the Bay Area’s billionaire social media set. He’s known for unusual combinations that don’t normally find themselves in the same room, such as antiques and taxidermy with modern art.
For the Pottery Barn collection, Fulk found inspiration in entertaining, travel and his three golden retrievers. Signature pieces and some of the designer’s favorites include a quilted leather sectional, retriever ice bucket and bar tools, graphic applause sign, a giraffe bust and a table that resembles a steamer trunk.
The leather sectional priced at $10,594 is the most expensive item in the collection; a spoon cocktail straw at $6.50, the cheapest.
“Pottery Barn was a very natural fit for me as I've long admired their iconic American style,” Fulk said. “For our collection, I turned to my own life and the things I love for inspiration: travel, entertaining, my dogs, the daily rituals and the special moments. This is a very personal collection, and is essentially an extension of who I am.”
The collection is in stores and online now.
