Bill Blass fashion brand re-launched
Some 45 years after the Bill Blass brand was established, it’s being re-introduced exclusively as an e-commerce company with fun and colorful women’s clothing, accessories, handbags and shoes.
Chris Benz is the man injecting a fresh spin on the collection. He started his own line in 2007 and for five years churned out piece after piece after piece. He started to wind down, took a year off and then the Bill Blass company called.
He liked the idea of making clothing that’s bright and youthful while also appealing to those who favored the original Bill Blass brand. The collection is chockfull of dresses, sequined tanks, silk blouses, jackets and loose-fit pants.
Benz wants women to see something new every time they visit billblass.com. The collection launches Nov. 2 with shipping to more than 65 countries.
Benz plans to use social media to engage with customers. “Bill Blass used the most relevant methods [at the time] to reach his customer directly and we will continue that ethos, creating a new, modern dialogue,” he said.
