Who doesn't like a top 5 list? Well, probably most of us after the deluge of clickbait on every web site these days screaming, "You won't believe No. 3!!!"

That said, our friend Abby Wolfe with the Central Oklahoma Humane Society joins us each week for a segment called the "Rescue Rundown." We are 14 episodes deep, talking dogs and cats, with topics ranging from pet health to gifts for the pet owner in your life.

This week, Abby brought in her newly adopted dog named "Penny." And we discussed five good reasons to adopt instead of shopping when it comes to making a dog or cat purchase.
