It's Computer Science Education Week and OU students are hosting events to make computer coding more accessible, relatable and fun. Students are out to show there are more to computers than just ones and zeros.

Joining us from OU today were (L-R) Mark Glose, Sridhar Radhakrishnan, Sarah Wu, Zack Burgess, Stephen Smart and Dean Hougen.

The goal of the week is to show that it's "cool to code." Various events on campus this week have included robot demonstrations, OU "celebrities" learning computer coding, OU students teaching code to middle school and elementary students and video game stations to help their fellow students de-stress during dead week. Next week is finals.

Fun bunch. Well spoken and eager to talk about their field. We took them on a brief tour of the control room and server area after the interview. I know just enough about our equipment to push the right  buttons. Sometimes.
