Don’t you just love it when you see a celebrity looking drop-dead gorgeous – and she’s wearing drugstore makeup?

Jennifer Lopez’s dress and hair were stunning at the Golden Globes. Her makeup was the perfect complement, and it was all by L’Oreal. Yes, Lopez is a brand ambassador, but it’s L’Oreal, a line that’s affordable and accessible to the masses. We’re not talking about lipstick that’s $30 a tube or foundation that’s $55.

Makeup artist Mary Phillips created the look, and though she used drugstore products, the process may take a bit of practice for those less experienced. Here’s the low-down from Hollywood Life by Bonnie Fuller:

Phillips first applied Armani Prima Eye and Lip Contour Perfector on the upper eye lid and all around the mouth and lips. Then she created a natural 3D effect by layering sheer colors of L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation in Natural Tan.

Then she smoothed darker shades in the Infallible Pro Contour Palette in 814 Medium along the jaw line, under the cheek bones, on the temple, across the forehead and along the nose for an all-over glow.

A highlighter hue was also applied to the center of the forehead, nose, directly above the jaw line and underneath the brow bone for a multi-dimensional effect. Phillips’ favorite blush, L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Blush in Spiced Plum, was applied to the apples of the cheeks.

On the eyes, L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Eyeshadow Mono in 306 was swiped across the brow bones, shade 201 along the crease and 205 to the center of the upper lid and along the lower lash line. Phillips then applied a super thin line of L’Oréal Paris Infallible Black Velvet Liner across the top lashes, followed by L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte-Matic Liner to the upper and lower lash lines. The topper was a coat of Voluminous Superstar Mascara.

Lopez’s full-lip effect was achieved with a mix of L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss in Rouge Envy, Nude Allude and Forbidden Kiss.
