‘Hunting Holtzclaw’ series was well-received by The Oklahoman’s digital readers

The note came about four days after the first installment of the “Hunting Holtzclaw” series appeared in The Oklahoman’s printed editions and on The Oklahoman’s apps and Oklahoman.com.

It came from The Oklahoman’s customer service department, which so often helps subscribers connect their account to digital access.

“I just wanted to let you know that the feedback we are getting in customer service on your Holtzclaw story is great,” said our manager.

“Our digital subscribers are anxious to login to read it.”

The “Hunting Holtzclaw” story was an Oklahoman exclusive. Until very recently, it was only available for our subscribers. And while the series was available only on The Oklahoman’s pages and in its premium digital products, we received a lot of great feedback.

Here are some quick examples:

“Just wanted to reach out quickly to say I really enjoyed the four-part series on Holtzclaw. Seriously good writing – felt like I was reading The New Yorker! The paper needs more long-form stories like that!”

“I literally choked up as i read the end of your story.  So well written.  So very sad for the women.  Felt like a mini novel.  I only wish it could’ve been longer.”

“Your series on Holtzclaw is outstanding!  I really love your writing style for this coverage - it is fast paced, edge-of-the-seat and leaves me excited to read more!”

Now the full story is also available for non-subscribers on NewsOK.com. All users can go read every part of the series now.

But we’re happy to have helped the subscribers connect their digital access while it was exclusively on The Oklahoman’s digital products.
