The Rotary Club of Oklahoma City celebrated recently at the 106th Inaugural Dinner in honor of new President Terri Cooper and the 2016-17 board of directors. The event was at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.

 A steak dinner was served, along with the club’s signature Brandy Ices for dessert. A lighted lantern with white blossoms were centerpieces and red lanterns hung from the podium.

Marion Paden was inaugural committee chairman, and on her committee were Betsy Brunsteter, Barbara Butner, Gary Marrs, Barbara Newey, Cynda Ottaway, Jeff Simpsen, Ashley Smith, Phyllis Stough, Lisa Synar, Janet Vernon, Rick Vermillion, Penny Voss, and Kathy Williams. Shirley Kirschner is executive administrator.

 Reception entertainment was by Billy Bob Bovine and the Embryo Transfer. Paden welcomed guests and Jay Hannah was master of ceremonies. Outgoing president Tim Strange gave remarks and passed the president’s pin to Cooper.

 Cooper is president of the group and board members are Ellen Fleming, president-elect; Ottaway, secretary; Tom Phillips, treasurer; Jalal Farzaneh, sgt.-at-arms; Strange, past president; Dennis Shockley, assistant treasurer; Cliff Branan, Mary Jane Calvey, Nick Harroz, Jane Jenkins, Lesli Massad, Anne Roberts, Jerrod Shouse, Lisa Synar, Susan Winchester, and Devery Youngblood, directors. President advisors are Bill Bowden, Robert Clements, Jerome Holmes, Jim Sharrock and Rick Vermillion.
