Some anniversaries are worth a big celebration.

So it is with the 80th anniversary of Balliets and the 45th anniversary of Allied Arts. To celebrate, the two will present “The Art of Fashion” at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 31 at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.

The event will include a luncheon and fashion show featuring Tom and Linda Platt designs and MCL Designs jewelry. All proceeds will benefit Allied Arts.

“We are thrilled to be able to partner with Allied Arts and commemorate these milestones for both of our organizations,” said Bob Benham, chief executive officer of Balliets. “Art and fashion are inextricably intertwined, so it is fitting to appreciate gorgeous design while simultaneously supporting the local arts community.”

Deborah McAuliffe Senner, president and chief executive officer of Allied Arts, said Balliets has continually shown its belief in the importance of art. The company has helped further Allied Arts’ mission – to enrich communities through advancement of the arts and ensure that access to art is available for everyone, she said.

Tickets to the event are $75 and may be purchased by calling the Allied Arts office at (405) 278-8944 or online at alliedartsokc.com/events. Each attendee will receive a gift card for $75 off a $250 purchase from Balliets.
