Ladies Christmas cheer
Annual event: Judy Love, Susan Johnston and Barbara Brou celebrated the season with a party in the Love home. They greeted guests in matching silver outfits.
Santa was there: The Love home featured festive Santas everywhere. They were lined up at the front door, banked by poinsettias. They were on the mantle and the tables. There were even kitchen Santas decorating the kitchen counter tops.
Menu: The buffet table was filled with dips and cheese trays, meat for sandwiches and an array of desserts including homemade fudge. (A neat thing that these hostesses provided was an identification tag by each dish so that you knew what you were eating.)
Seen: Among the 140 people at the party were Jo Carol Cameron, Rose Lane, Suzy Lewis, Malia Love, Jane Gamble, Ann Johnstone, Brenda McDaniel, Nancy Ellis, Kirk Hammons, Sylvia Slater, Sherry Beasley, Linda Haneborg, Pam Smith, Terry Neese, Cathy Kirk, Terri Cooper, Lela Sullivan, Betty Crow, Joanne Hoch, Carol Gann, Jane Thompson, Lynn Garofolo, Cecelia Barlow, Sue O'Keefe, Eileen Williams, Ann Garrett, Mary Ann Harroz, Cheryl Hewett, Sharon Tonseth and Dana Hill.
Event: A group of women have been meeting for over 30 years for lunch. They started out playing a card game of bridge, but decided just to have lunch and conversation.
This year: They met in the home of Joy Richardson, who cooked her signature dishes of King Ranch chicken with a twist and cranberry apple pie. They also exchanged Christmas gifts.
