County Medical Inaugural Dinner
Dinner: Dr. David L. Holden was honored as the 117th President of the Oklahoma County Medical Society at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club at the OCMS Inaugural Dinner.
Black-tie event: There were 250 people at the party and the room featured bouquets of green hydrangeas, pink, red and yellow roses, orchids, ivy and purple stock. ZerotoSixty Band played for dancing.
About the president: Holden is an orthopedic surgeon at McBride Orthopedic Hospital and is the fifth McBride physician to serve as President of the Society.
Also honored: Dr. Philip Mosca was presented the Don F. Rhinehart Community Service Award.
Event: The annual Rotary Club of Oklahoma City's Winter Party was held in the home of Dave Goodman in Gaillardia. Guests were treated to a buffet and entertainment. Terri Cooper is club president.
Theme: The theme of “Fire and Ice” was used and a special ice sculpture was created for the occasion.

Event: The Northwest Young Professionals, affiliated with the Northwest Oklahoma City Chamber, were hosts for the inaugural Northwest Horizon Awards event at The Paramount Room on Film Row. The sold-out awards ceremony honored members and non-members and gave out The Connect Award, The Impact & Develop Award, Young Professional of the Year and The Horizon Award. Chairman of the NYP board is Garrett Johnson.
Winners: Lori Harless won Young Professional of the Year; DeMarcus Strange won the Impact & Develop Award; Yesy Molina won the Connect Award and Garrett Johnson won Board Member of the Year. Winners of the Horizon Award were Zack McCullock, Lance Evans, Monica Lopez, Bailey Perkins and Grant Johnson. The Horizon Award honors young professionals who are considered “rising stars” in the northwest Oklahoma City community.
Occasion: The Mercy Gala was held at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club and 400 people attended. It benefited the Mercy Care Fund and other projects of the Mercy Health Foundation, including Mercy's Good Samaritan Clinic.
Chairmen: Foundation board members Suzy Merritt and Nichole Dell'Osso were chairmen of the event.
Decor: The contemporary theme featured colors of lime, hot pink and white. Bouquets of orchids, amaryllis, roses and hydrangeas were on the tables.
Dinner/dance: The Alliance singles dinner/dance club party was held at Gaillardia Golf & Country Club.
