Great Big Brownie Smiles were everywhere at the Juliette Low Leadership Society luncheon recently at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. The smiles were evident at the Girl Scout luncheon because it was just such a great luncheon.

The lunch was good, including Girl Scout Cookies for dessert. The speaker, Lee Woodruff, was excellent. The event ran on time and was out by 1 p.m. as advertised. The table decorations were beautifully crafted, daisies with cookie centers, and pearls were in the decorations, in honor of Juliette Low, the founder who sold her pearls to fund the Girl Scouts in 1912. Raffle tickets were also hung on a string of pearls and everyone bought a ticket and wore the pearls.

Girl Scouts and Brownie members at the luncheon also led the Brownie Smile Song, The Girl Scout Promise and the Girl Scout Law.

Honorary chairmen Linda Whittington and her mother, Alice Whittington, were introduced and a video about their link to Scouting was shown.

Beverly Funke and Gayle Semtner were chairmen of the event. Other committee chairmen included Janie Axton, Amy Cottrell, Amy Crowley, Ann-Clore Duncan, Kathy Frankenfield, Anne Gray, Carol Johnson, Joan Maguire, Penny McCaleb and Kathy L. Williams.

On the committee were Kelly Basey, Donna Bozalis, Ann Cameron, Matilda Clements, Karen Delaney, Sandy Ellis, Ellen Fleming, Joan Gilmore, Kay Goebel, Amy Gray, Julia Hall, Karen Hanstein, Susan Harroz, Tamara Hermen, Lori Hill, Lori Hodges, Katie Johnson, Carol Joullian, Susie Kemp, Judy Langston, Kathy Lardner, Adelaide Liedtke, Lana Lopez, Susan Love, Karen Luke, Karen Mayfield, Jean McLaughlin, Hedra Merson, Bonnie Naifeh, Marion  Paden, Myrla Pierson, Beth Portman, Diana Robinson, Heather Ross, Roberta Roush, Mary Rykard, Kim Champlin Searls, Rachel Shortt, Linda Slawson, Sally Starling, Jane Thompson and Carol Troy.
