Playing to win the Bingo Blowout game in The Oklahoman

 I went into my yard a week ago Sunday and dragged the newspaper inside. As I let the sections slide out of the wrapper on my kitchen counter, what I was looking for caught my eye.

The Bingo card.

I knew we were inserting the Bingo cards into the March 19 editions of the newspaper. And I knew that subsequent issues of The Oklahoman would contain an ad with Bingo numbers of that day.

I was ready to play.

Don’t worry. I can’t win. I’ve read the rules. But I’m going to play anyway.

I have the Bingo card in a safe place on the counter. I have a black marker next to it.

If you missed Sunday’s edition and didn’t get the card, you can come by our downtown office and pick up a card so you can play too.

And since I’m a digitally engaged subscriber who proudly reads the printed edition and uses my digital access to Oklahoman.com, I know that I have twice the chance to get my Bingo card filled out.

Each day before my feet hit the ground, I’ll check Oklahoman.com on my phone. I’ll see the Bingo special section on Oklahoman.com and find the digital number there.

Then I’ll mosey outside and get the newspaper. As the first cup of coffee is brewing, I’ll thumb through the sections and find the ad in the printed edition.

I’m going to get that card completed.

Even if I don’t get to win the $1,000 prize, I’ll be a winner where it counts.

I’ll post my achievement on social media.
