The Oklahoman video studio acts as OKC’s living room

The Oklahoman’s downtown studio is kind of like Oklahoma City’s living room.

There’s a couch – a sectional, for good measure.

There’s a desk – a table and some chairs.

There’s natural lighting, too. You see it behind the couch. That’s Robinson Ave., where the street car will be in a matter of months.

There’s a green screen. I mean, who doesn’t have a green screen in the living room?

I get to see it all where I sit on the first floor of The Oklahoman Media Company’s downtown offices. I see the local (and sometimes national) celebrities come in through the front doors. I see the studio lights turn on.

But I keep working hard, just in case the camera catches me in the background.

The Oklahoman’s video team, led by video director Dave Morris and editor Kelly Dyer Fry, have interviews every week with newsmakers and key public figures in our community.

They usually have those interviews in Oklahoma City’s living room.

That’s why I want to take the opportunity today to remind our readers that they can see all the videos and interviews produced by The Oklahoman in a variety of locations.

1)      NewsOK.com. The video page is a great place to see everything we have. It works great on any computer, including your mobile device.

2)      NewsOK app. There is a quick link to the video page in the navigation on the NewsOK app on iOS or Android devices. I mentioned the page works great on mobile – the app is proof of that.

3)      Oklahoman.com. The same page works perfect for subscribers who use Oklahoman.com or The Oklahoman iOS application.

4)      The Oklahoman’s Roku app. We’re on Roku, and it’s perfect for watching in your living room. See Oklahoma City’s living room while you sit on your couch.

5)      The Oklahoman’s Apple TV app. It’s just like the Roku app, but it’s for all the people who prefer Apple products.

We always want you to read the news on NewsOK.com and Oklahoman.com. But if you want to get to know the people who are making news in Oklahoma City, just watch our videos – let them run on your computer or on your television through our apps.

Join us in OKC’s living room.
