APPOINTING THE CHAIRMEN
Event: The Wes Welker Foundation's annual fundraiser, Cleats & Cocktails, is set for April 6 at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. Co-chairmen are Vicki Bogert and Christy Zelley.
One generous idea: The foundation has distributed $1.2. million to 32 Oklahoma City Schools and athletic programs since 2005. Wes Welker, former NFL wide receiver and current assistant coach for the Houston Texans, began the foundation with the intent of engaging kids in their schools through athletics while providing equal opportunity programs to student-athletes in Oklahoma City.
