Sounders FC 2 rallies to beat Energy FC 2-1

TACOMA, WASH. — David Estrada scored two late goals as Seattle Sounders FC 2 defeated Oklahoma City Energy FC 2-1 on Sunday at Cheney Stadium.

Energy FC squandered numerous scoring opportunities in the first half, but broke the scoreless tie in the 76th minute when Alex Dixon sent a shot between the legs of Seattle goalkeeper Calle Brown.

Seattle responded in the 83rd minute as Estrada cleared two defenders and delivered a shot into the back of the net to tie the match.

Just two minutes later, Estrada scored the game-winning goal on a rebound in the penalty box.

With the win, Seattle improved to 3-7-2 on the season, while Oklahoma City fell to 2-10-1.

FC Dallas tops Oklahoma City FC 3-1

Oklahoma City FC lost to Women's Premier Soccer League rivals FC Dallas 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Mid-America Christian University.

Dallas defender Halee Sowinski scored two goals, while Anna Gornell scored Oklahoma City's only goal in the 52nd minute on a corner kick cross from Jaclyn Purvine.

Dallas' Tahlor Lyman scored the match's first goal in the sixth minute on an unassisted deflection inside the box.

Oklahoma City's next match will be against Texas Spurs FC at Norman North High School on Saturday at 5 p.m.
