NICHOLS HILLS — Featuring several new and old favorites, the Nichols Hills Band will present a free outdoor concert at 7:30 p.m. July 19 in Kite Park, 1500 Camden Way.

The concert is the second of three evening performances scheduled this summer. Directed by Mike Forcina, the 35-piece, all-volunteer Nichols Hills band has been offering free outdoor summer concerts for many years. The final concert of the season is scheduled for Aug. 16, also in Kite Park.

“We have upgraded our public address system and have a totally different selection of songs,” Forcina said. “Each concert is different.”

The band performed during Nichols Hills's annual Independence Day observance on July 4.

The Thursday evening program will include longtime jazz favorites and several other crowd-pleasing numbers, Forcina said. He invited people to bring lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments, and enjoy a summer evening of pleasing music.
