MIDWEST CITY — A woman was in critical condition Wednesday after being stabbed by a man multiple times at a Midwest City convenience store, police reported.

Tinisha Renee Buitron, 40, of Midwest City, suffered stab wounds about 6:35 p.m. Tuesday in a parking lot at OnCue, 1620 S Air Depot Blvd.

Randall Arlandus Cornelius, 36, of Oklahoma City, was arrested in connection with the knife attack.

Midwest City police Sgt. Seth Brown arrived at the scene as Cornelius dropped the knife. Brown held him at gunpoint until other officers arrived.

Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said there were a number of witnesses to the crime and the stabbing was caught on video camera. However, the video will not be released to the public and will be used as evidence in the case.

Clabes said Buitron and Cornelius had been in a previous relationship.
