Cowboy Jamboree canceled this season

Oklahoma State University will not hold its annual cross country meet, the Cowboy Jamboree, this season due to construction on he OSU cross country course.

The Cowboy Jamboree, which normally draws more than 200 high school and junior high teams plus more than 50 college squads, was the oldest consecutive cross country race in the country. This year would have been the 82nd straight Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater.

OSU announced the meet would not be held as the cross country course is being upgraded before it hosts the 2019 Midwest Regional and the 2020 NCAA Championships.

Energy FC travels to Tulsa for Wednesday match

Oklahoma City Energy FC will travel to Tulsa Wednesday to face the Roughnecks. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at OneOK Field.

Wednesday's match is the third and final meeting of the season between Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Energy FC is 1-0-1 in the previous two meetings.

Energy FC defeated Tulsa 1-0 in the March 17 season opener for both clubs. The two squads played to a 1-1 draw in Tulsa on May 26.

A win or a draw for Energy FC on Wednesday means The Greens take the 2018 Black Gold Derby and return The Wrench to Oklahoma City.
