OU softball announces fall exhibition schedule

The Oklahoma softball team unveiled Tuesday its eight-game fall exhibition schedule, which features five games to be played at Marita Hynes Field in Norman.

The fall slate begins Sept. 28-29 with the annual Fall Festival Tournament in Norman. Oklahoma opens play on Sept. 28 against Butler Community College at 4:45 p.m. before facing Trinity Valley Community College at 7 p.m.

The Sooners then play twice on Sept. 29 with games at 4:45 p.m. against Seminole State and 7 p.m. against Northern Oklahoma.

On Oct. 11, Oklahoma will travel to Denton, Texas, to meet North Texas. The Sooners return home Oct. 17 to face North Central Texas College at 5 p.m.

The fall schedule concludes on Oct. 28 when Oklahoma travels to Fayetteville, Arkansas to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in a doubleheader.

Tickets for all five Oklahoma home games will be available for purchase at the gate on game days.

Energy FC meets LA Galaxy II

Energy FC continues its California road trip on Wednesday with a 9:30 p.m. match in Los Angeles against LA Galaxy II.

Wednesday's match is the second of two regular season meetings between the clubs. Energy FC (10-14-5) downed LA Galaxy II (9-13-6) by a score of 1-0 in the first meeting in Oklahoma City.

Energy FC is currently in 10th place in the United Soccer League's Western Conference standings, seven points out of the eighth and final playoff spot.

After Wednesday's match, Oklahoma City has just four regular season games remaining and only one at home. Energy FC will host Sacramento Republic FC at 6 p.m. on Sept. 23.

OU women's golf finishes eighth

Oklahoma women's golf finished tied for eighth at the Minnesota Invitational on Tuesday. The Sooners shot a 295 (+7) in the final round to finish with a 54-hole total of 883 (+19) at the 6,479-yard, par-72 Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury, Minnesota.

San Jose State won the event with a 54-hole score of 291 (+3).
