Sebastian Saucedo scored two goals as Real Monarchs SLC defeated Energy FC, 2-1, Wednesday night at Zion Banks Stadium in Sandy, Utah.

Saucedo opened the scoring in the 17th minute with an unstoppable volley from the top of the penalty area.

Just five minutes later, Deshorn Brown was fouled in the box by Monarchs goalkeeper Connor Sparrow to give OKC a penalty. Up stepped Alex Dixon, who sent Sparrow the wrong way and slotted the ball down the middle to even the score.

It was Dixon's team-leading 11th goal of the season. Early in the second half, Saucedo scored again on an assist from Maikel Chang in the 48th minute for Real Monarchs SLC (18-12-3).

Energy FC (12-15-6) will play it's final match of the season Oct. 13 at Saint Louis FC.
