Target is giving women another reason to shop its skin-care aisles.

K-beauty brand Glow Recipe’s new line, Sweet Chef, launches at Target on Jan. 27 with three products that are chockful of ingredients that seem more appropriate for the kitchen than the bathroom.

The Sweet Chef debut includes Serum Shots and Fresh Pressed Sheet Masks in three varieties -- Beet + Vitamin A, Kale + Vitamin B, and Ginger + Vitamin C, all designed to leave your skin dewy and radiant.

“These are things you eat for your salad every day,” said Christine Chang, co-founder. “With all that nutrition, why not bring that to your face? They are great skin-beneficial ingredients. And like the beets, kale, and ginger root at your local farmers market, all of Sweet Chef's products are free of parabens, dyes, fragrances, and mineral oil, too. How sweet (!) is that?”

But which to choose? Beets are packed with antioxidants that smooth the skin, a good choice to combat oily skin and pore concerns. The Beet + A Vitamin A mask can help clear up breakouts, brighten skin and lighten dark spots. Vitamin A which helps decrease the appearance of fine lines.

Kale in the form of a serum or sheet mask can help soothe skin and reduce inflammation, according to Joshua Zeichner, director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Hydrating vitamin B makes it even better.

And, finally, ginger really goes after dull skin. It’s an antioxidant so it protects against pollution’s effects on the skin. And with Vitamin C, the formula does double duty to brighten skin and even out hyperpigmentation.

The serums can be cocktailed for those who may be battling more than one skin-care issue.

The Super Shot Serums are $20 each; the Fresh Pressed Sheet Masks are $4 each. Can’t wait for the Target launch? Shop them now on glowrecipe.com.
