Gospel singing events are set

DEL CITY — Two musical events are planned at Del City Church of the Nazarene, 4701 SE 26.

The church will host a special concert featuring the Lore Family at 7 p.m. Saturday. Later, the church's monthly Gospel Singing event will be at 7 p.m. March 2. Three Bridges and Randy Mullins will be the featured performers at the March event.

Admission is free for both events, and a love offering will be received at each gathering. For more information, call 677-2330.

Ministry will hold open house

Love Link Ministries will host an Open House from 6 to 8 p.m. March 4 at 1122 Linwood Blvd.

Community members are invited to the ministry's headquarters for the come-and-go event that will include brief tours of the building, opportunities to meet staff members and volunteers and a chance to learn more about the ministry's programs like its food pantry and thrift store. The ministry is near the corner of NW 6 and Western.

Tickets remain for OBU's gala

Tickets still are available for the seventh annual Green and Gold Gala set for March 5 at the Chevy Bricktown Events Center, 425 E California.

The Oklahoma Baptist University event will feature NASCAR driver, TV personality and humanitarian Kyle Petty, as keynote speaker. Petty is the son of Richard “The King” Petty and grandson to NASCAR forefather Lee Petty. The annual gala is a fundraiser for student scholarships at OBU.Cost for the gala is $150 per ticket, which includes dinner. Of that price, $75 will go toward student scholarships as a tax-deductible gift to OBU. Sponsorships and corporate tables are available, as well as individual tickets.

EDMOND — Multi-Grammy Award-winning recording artist Steven Curtis Chapman will perform at 7:30 p.m. March 8 at First Presbyterian Church of Edmond, 1001 S Rankin.

Chapman brings "SCC Solo: Hits, History and Influences" to the metro area as part of a 40-city spring tour.

The singer-songwriter and author will share stories and music from his career that has spanned more than 30 years.

Ticket prices range from $23.40 to $75.
