Midwest City church will host 'Chasing Joy' women's event
MIDWEST CITY — Women of Wickline United Methodist Church will host the "Chasing Joy Women’s Conference" from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 6 at the church, 417 Mid America Blvd.
Guest speakers include Jane Jayroe, former Miss America, TV personality and news anchor; and Jill Donovan, former attorney, University of Tulsa law professor and founder of Rustic Cuff bracelets and accessories. Jayroe, founder of the Esther Women luncheon series, will discuss her latest book. A sought-after motivational speaker and author of the book "The Kindness Effect," Donovan encourages women to pursue their own passions. Contemporary Christian recording artist and worship leader Jami Smith will lead worship.
Speakers for breakout sessions include Stefne Miller, co-author of "Losing Brave"; Vicky Robinson, founder of Refine Counseling; Diane Rudebock, a registered nurse, certified Healing Touch Practitioner, and Veriditas-Certified Labyrinth Facilitator; and Sara Thompson.
Early registration is $40 through March 15. Registration will be $50 after March 15. Breakfast and lunch are included. Child care will be provided upon request. The conference will include a silent auction benefiting Leah’s Hope.
