After 2 children, missing person found dead, murder-suicide investigation opens in Payne County
Law enforcement agencies are investigating a murder-suicide after a missing person was found dead Tuesday along with two children in Payne County.
Lincoln County Sheriff's Office had sent information on the subject's last-known location in a missing-persons case, a site in rural Payne County around Highway 108 and 56th Street. After deputies responded to the location, they discovered the dead bodies of the missing person and two minor children.
"Preliminary investigations indicate a murder-suicide," according to the Payne County Sheriff's Office social media, which adds Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting.
