Midwest City Elks plan Youth Golf Skills Challenge

MIDWEST CITY — The Midwest City Elks Lodge No.1890 will host its ninth annual Youth Golf Skills Challenge April 27 at Hidden Creek Golf Course, 3210 Belaire Drive.

Sign-in will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m., and competition will begin at 8:45 a.m.

The event will challenge boys and girls ages 8 to 16 in six different skills challenges: Long Drive, Fairway to the Green, Sand Shot, Trouble Shot, Chip Shot and Putting.

There will be two categories (Boys and Girls) and three age groups in each category: (8-10), (11-13) and (14-16). The competition is limited to the first 12 contestants to sign up in each age group.

Awards will be presented to the top three contestants in each age group for both girls and boys.

After the competition, contestants and their families are invited to the Midwest City Elks Lodge, 8635 SE 15, for complimentary hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks and the awards presentation.

There is no cost to the competitors nor their families for any of the event or food.

The deadline for entry to the Golf Challenge is April 12.
