Edmond North rolls to Arizona championship

New Edmond North coach Gary Bandy felt the spring break tournament in Arizona was more important than the wins and losses.

It was even better that the Huskies never lost.

Edmond North won the Best in West Tournament in Phoenix, winning four games and tying once.

“It has definitely boosted our confidence,” Bandy said. “I don’t think the wins were as important as the actual trip. The journey down there and seeing them come together as a brotherhood was more important than the wins and losses.”

Bandy said Jason Reeder, Jackie Robinson and Carter Hines had big weeks offensively. The Huskies totaled 45 runs in the tournament.

Edmond North entered Monday 7-2-1 since starting the season 0-2.
