Oklahoma native and Country Music Hall of Famer recently sat down with Amna Nawaz of "PBS NewsHour" for an installment in the show's regular series on arts and culture, "Canvas."

Reba talks about her new album, "Stronger Than the Truth," her continuing host gig for the Academy of Country Music Awards, her musical roots growing up on a cattle ranch in Chockie and more. She even sings a little of the first song she ever sang in the studio with her brother Pake and sister Susie way back in 1971.

As previously reported, Reba will be releasing her highly anticipated new album next Friday, April 5 on Big Machine Records. She will celebrate the release by returning to host the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards.

The 2019 ACM Awards will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, April 7 on the CBS Television Network. This year’s show will mark Reba’s 16th time as host, according to a news release.

On Thursday, I also got the chance to chat with Reba about her many exciting projects. Look for that story coming soon.
