Tulsa Film Series to launch with John Cusack appearance at 'Say Anything ...' 30th anniversary screening
TULSA - Hollywood icon John Cusack makes his way to Tulsa's Cox Business Center Ballroom, 100 Civic Center, for a live conversation and audience Q&A at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15.
With four decades’ worth of roles in more than 70 films, Cusack will share stories from his career, answer audience questions and give a behind-the-scenes look into his breakout role as Lloyd Dobler, following a screening of the iconic film "Say Anything ...," which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2019.
This is the first announced event of the Tulsa Film Series at Cox Business Center, presented by Prairie Artisan Ales, according to a news release.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m Friday and will be available online at www.coxcentertulsa.com, Osage Casino Box Office at Cox Business Center on event days or by calling 877-885-7222. Tickets range from $58 to $253.
Tickets will not be available for purchase at BOK Center Box Office on the first day of ticket sales. Remaining available tickets will be available for purchase at BOK Center Box Office on the next business day that the box office is open.
Ranked by Entertainment Weekly as one of the greatest modern movie romances (and No. 11 on the list of 50 best high-school movies), "Say Anything ..." made a star out of Cusack who went on to success in multiple films, including "High Fidelity," "Grosse Point Blank" and "Being John Malkovich," among others. Now fans will have the unique and rare opportunity to experience a moderated conversation with Cusack answering audience questions. A limited number of VIP seats will be available, which include a post-show photo op with the actor.
