OSU's Mike Gundy offers thoughts on Eddie Sutton's Naismith Hall of Fame snub

When Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy has an opinion to share, he shares it.

So, when asked what he thought about former Oklahoma State men's basketball coach Eddie Sutton being left out of the Naismith Hall of Fame once again on Tuesday, Gundy was teed up and ready to go.

"I think we need to know who voted," he said. "We're trying to get the Mueller Report. We've got a subpoena to get that. Why don't we know who the 24 people are that voted? I mean, I don't know anything about that stuff. Hall of fames are what they are. But the guy's got 800 wins. He coached at Kentucky, and that's obviously a blue-blood. But he's coached at places where people have not always had tremendous success, and he's had tremendous success. I think it's a really sad deal.

"I'm pretty partial to the Suttons. I don't understand it. I'm not gonna go way out there, because I'll get myself in trouble, but honestly, I think it's a bunch of bulls--t.

"He doesn't need to be in the Hall of Fame. He's got his legacy and he's changed lives of young people and people around him."
