'Napoleon Dynamite' stars to bring film and discussion to Oklahoma for autumn event
TULSA - The stars of the 2004 cult-classic film "Napoleon Dynamite" - Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Efren Ramirez (Pedro) and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico) - will make an autumn Oklahoma appearance.
"Napoleon Dynamite: A Conversation with Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez & Jon Gries" is set for Nov. 14 at the Brady Theater, 105 W M.B. Brady. The event will include a full screening of the movie, followed by a lively, freewheeling, moderated discussion with the fan-favorite cast members, according to a news release.
"Napoleon Dynamite" was released in theaters in Aug. 24, which means it was made almost 15 years ago. Since then much has changed, but the characters, as enduring as they are endearing, stay in the hearts of film fans. Appealing to the inner-teenager in each of us, the story, and more importantly, the quirky dialogue, makes “Napoleon Dynamite” one of the most quoted movies of our time.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and will be available at the venue box office, by phone at 800-514-3849 and online at www.bradytheater.com.
